The Conservative Party in Wetherby & Easingwold

The Conservative Party has active branches in all UK constituencies hosting a variety of social events, campaigning activity and political events. Anybody who lives in the revised constituency can sign up to be a Party Member and take part in events, policy discussions and leadership elections.  

We campaign on a number of local and national issues, with the aim of improving the lives of those in the area, as well as protecting our valuable environment for future generations.

What areas make up the Wetherby & Easingwold constituency?

The Wetherby & Easingwold constituency covers 942 square kilometres across North & West Yorkshire. The land use is 92% agriculture, 3% forest or semi-natural land and 4% built-up areas. It is estimated that Wetherby & Easingwold contributes £2.2 billion to the gross value of the UK economy. The population of Wetherby & Easingwold is as follows: 17% aged 0-15; 22% aged 16-39; 40-64 aged 35%; 26% aged over 65. The ethnic make up of the constituency is 96% White; 2% Asian; 1% Black; and 1% Mixed. 16% of residents in Wetherby & Easingwold are registered disabled.
